Best Time to Visit Bhilai

Bhilai experiences hot summers with temperatures soaring as high as 40oC at times. In addition, extremely hot winds blow in summer, making the climate highly unsuitable for sight-seeing. Also, the pattern of rainfall in Bhilai is unpredictable and highly variable, causing inconvenience to the travelers. Maitri Bagh: It is a combination of a landscaped garden and a zoo, and was established by Bhilai Steel Plant. Also known as the ‘Friendship Garden’, it stands as a symbol of India-USSR friendship.

Uwasaggharam Parshwa Teerth: It is a Jain Temple in Nagpura. Dedicated to Shri Parshwanath it houses several beautiful temples, guesthouses and gardens and is worth visiting.

Dhamdha: The Dhamdha Shrine about 35 kilometres from Bhilai and is one of the most prominent tourist spot for Hindus.

Tandula Dam: About 60 kilometres from Bhilai, it is a famous tourist spot and attracts hundreds of tourists, especially during the winter. Various restaurants and accommodation options are available here.

Deobalod: At about 3 kilometres from Bhilai, it is home to an ancient Shiv Mandir.

    Bhilai is a great place to stay. I was once there for the wedding, ate a lot. The food the ambience, everything was perrfect!!
